Bringing together over 900 performers from 27 different disciplines, On Show 2010 truly does reflect the diversity of movement and dance throughout the UK. From ballet to ballroom, salsa to gymnastics, tap to folk, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and be inspired by.
With performers ranging from children to those over 80 the show also demonstrates that everyone can participate in movement and dance activities – the mantra truly is: ‘Those who can, dance.’
The national festival of movement and dance – now called On Show - originated with the Movement and Dance division of CCPR, the national alliance for national governing bodies of sport and recreation in the 60s. In the subsequent fifty years, shows have been held not only to celebrate movement and dance, but also key events in CCPR’s history. This event is no different, marking as it does CCPR’s 75th anniversary.
