CEOs' Convention 2009

CCPR is pleased to announce the date and venue of the 2009 CEOs' Convention. The event will be held at the De Vere Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham on 18 and 19 November 2009. The theme of this year's Convention is Communication, and with this becoming an increasingly key part of any organisation's success, it promises to be an highly topical and informative event.

We are delighted that David Dunkley Gyimah will be our keynote speaker. Described as a 'one-man hurricane', David has extensive experience in the digital media world including as a Channel 4 producer and a video journalist, and there are few people better placed to talk about how we will communicate in the future. Richard Caborn MP, former Minister for Sport, will also address the Convention on strategies for communicating with politicians and generating political engagement with your causes and campaigns.

The Convention will feature a line-up of other highly regarded speakers, who we will be announcing in the coming weeks. Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. CCPR is grateful to Perkins Slade, Traveleads and haysmacintyre for their support of the event.

For some of you there was potentially a clash on 19 November with a Sport England meeting. Sport England has kindly agreed to move its meeting to Monday 16 November and further information will follow shortly from them.

The Emlyn Jones Award for Outstanding Service to the Administration of Sport will be presented at the Convention, and we are now accepting nominations for this award. A nomination form for the Award is available here.
