Major Spectator Sports Division

Sports that have the largest number of spectators make up the smallest of divisions. Most of the members are represented in one of the other divisions but meet together to discuss matters of specific interest to Major Spectator Sports. Issues of concern include broadcasting rights, national lottery, stadia safety, taxation, and ticket touting.

The relevant national governing bodies in the division have agreed a Voluntary Code of Conduct in Sport Broadcasting Rights. This code is supported by the Government, which ensures that a minimum 5% of the monies raised through the sale of broadcasting rights is invested into sport at grass roots level.
