Sport Structures is a vibrant sports management consultancy with 10 full time staff, a network of associates, one part-time Community Coaches and key business partners. Sport Structures provides a broad range of services based on in depth experience to the key delivery agencies in sport namely: National Sports Organisations, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Sub-regional and County Sport Partnerships, Local Authorities, Schools and other organisations using sport.
Our Expertise includes Policy & Strategic Planning, Workforce Development (including professional staff, coach and volunteer development), Research, Equity & Ethics, Coach Services and Sports Facility Assessment.
All aspects of our core work areas are underpinned by a comprehensive research toolbox Measure for Leisure which provides a variety of well developed research options within data collection, analysis and interpretation. The focus on evidence based research provides reliable and robust outputs for shaping sports development in a number of contexts.
Key staff are Simon Kirkland, Anna Gray and Warwick Andrews. Simon has a broad background and experience in NGBs, having been a Chief Executive of a England Basketball for over four years, strategic sports planning, Local Authority sports development, facility management, coach education and training. Anna Gray joined Sport Structures from UK Sport where she was a Performance Development Consultant. Prior to this she was a Development Manager within the Governing Bodies Unit at Sport England and her first position was as an ASA regional development officer. Warwick has significant experience of work within education, training and sports development. His career has embraced work within skills and training development as within both SkillsActive and sports coach UK plus six years within higher and further education as a programme leader and lecturer in sport-related subject areas.
