The Background

haysmacintyre, established auditors and taxation specialists, is a leading adviser in the provision of services to sports governing bodies. Back in the late 1990s, haysmacintyre was working with a handful of national governing bodies, including the Royal Yachting Association, British Canoe Union and Amateur Rowing Association. Dipping its commercial toes into these sporting waters meant the company soon became aware of CCPR, and the role it plays as a representative body for the sports and recreation sector. haysmacintyre became one of the first Enterprise Partners in August 1999 and has actively worked to increase its stream of business from CCPR’s membership.

Being an Enterprise Partner

haysmacintryre currently works with over 15 national governing bodies. Its status as an Enterprise Partner, combined with technical expertise and an experience in the sector, has been crucial in the growth of its business within the sports and leisure industry. As Jeremy Beard, a partner at haysmacintyre, says, “The recognition of being an accredited advisor that comes with being a CCPR Enterprise Partner has been, and continues to be, highly valuable to us.” haymacintyre has also taken good advantage of the communications and networking opportunities afforded to the company by their association. “The CCPR National Conference,” Beard added, “gives us exposure to a network of key players within the world of sport and leisure.”

The Future

With over seven years as an Enterprise Partner, haysmacintyre still has a wealth of enthusiasm for the scheme. Additional investment put into the scheme by CCPR means the bar has been raised in terms of both communication levels and networking opportunities. “Recent developments have really energised the scheme and it’s an exciting time to be an Enterprise Partner”, Jeremy Beard points out. “The scheme is a two-way relationship and we will certainly be looking to grasp these new opportunities with both hands.”
