Sport and recreation has great cultural and economic significance throughout Europe, and so CCPR works closely with sister organisations in Europe to promote sport and share best practice. CCPR also monitors EU legislation and policy, lobbying for greater recognition of the positive role of sport and to prevent negative impacts on sports from EU legislation.

CCPR produces a monthly EU Update which includes information on politics, funding and events. To view the latest EU Update please click here.

Working in Partnership
CCPR is a member of ENGSO (European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation) and is active within the ENGSO EU Working Group and ENGSO Youth. For more information on ENGSO and its role please visit http://www.engso.com/

CCPR is also a partner in the EU Sports Office, along with the national sports organisations of Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. CCPR also maintains good relations with the Sport Unit of the European Commission http://ec.europa.eu/sport/index_en.html and the MEPs Sports Intergroup.

In 2005 CCPR hosted the European Youth and Sport Forum in the UK.
