Barclays New Futures... Barclays New Futures is about to enter its tenth year. Funded by Barclays and operated in conjunction with Community Service Volunteers (CSV), Barclays New Futures offers more than £1 million annually to secondary schools throughout the UK (and occasionally partnerships involving primary or special schools). The often unheralded key element of this programme is that the money must be used by the schools working in partnership with local community groups to tackle social, educational or other issues affecting communities. As such it provides an ideal opportunity for voluntary organisations to forge networks with the education sector, which could bring dividends well beyond the initial project phase.

The Home Office Connected Fund is designed to support small community groups and organisations tackling gun crime and gun culture in their local areas, particularly in those areas most affected by gun crime. This can be through kick-starting new initiatives or boosting ongoing projects, or through help with capacity building.
